• AGE RESTRICTION: To participate in the Beating Benzos community, you must be at least 18 years of age.
   
• ONLY ONE ACCOUNT: You can only create one account with Beating Benzos. Sharing your account or login details with others is strictly prohibited. If, for any reason, you need to create a second account (like if you can’t retrieve your original account’s password), inform a platform Administrator immediately upon creating your new account.
  
  
   

Keeping Members Safe
 

• SUICIDAL IDEATION: We understand that some of you might be struggling with thoughts of suicide, and we’re here to listen. But please remember that this forum is for everyone, and we want to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. So, while we’re all here to support each other, let’s try to keep discussions about suicide, self-harm, or threats of self-harm to a minimum. If you’re feeling overwhelmed or need someone to talk to, please reach out to your doctor or a mental health professional.
   
• TAPER ADVICE VIA PM: You’re not allowed to use the Personal Message (PM) system to seek withdrawal or taper advice. PMs are primarily meant for providing moral support, engaging in fun conversations, and offering distractions.
   
• PERSONAL CONTACT DETAILS: You are not allowed to share your contact information on the Beating Benzos forum, nor should you ask for the contact details of other members.
  
   

Your Interactions with Other Members

 

• RESPECT: Show politeness and respect towards your fellow members.
   
• WRITING STYLE: Please adopt a non-prescriptive writing style. Sharing your experiences, presenting options, or suggesting actions that other members might take are all welcome.
   
• PROFANITY: Please refrain from posting profanity or disguised profanity at this forum.
   
• DIVERSITY: We are a support group for all those experiencing problems with benzodiazepine use or withdrawal, and we do not denigrate religions, ethnicities, cultures, or disparage those of another gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
   
• A SECULAR COMMUNITY: This community is not intended for promoting or proselytizing your religious beliefs.
   
• MODERATION DECISIONS: If you disagree with a moderation action please read our policy Disagreeing with a Moderation Decision for further details on permitted methods of recourse.

• PROMOTION OF BENZODIAZEPINES: We kindly request that you refrain from promoting the use of benzodiazepines within the Beating Benzos community.
   
• ANTI-DOCTOR CONTENT: You are not allowed to use this community as a platform to disseminate general anti-doctor, anti-psychiatry, and/or anti-healthcare professional propaganda.
   
• POLITICAL CONTENT: Due to the current politics and some folks’ difficulty in having respectful political discussions, we’ve decided to put a pause on political conversations here.
   
• CONSPIRACY THEORIES: We do not allow the posting of conspiracy theories, disinformation, or propaganda on this website.
   
• UNLAWFUL CONTENT: Your contributions to the Beating Benzos platform must comply with the laws of the United States of America.
   
• OFFENSIVE CONTENT: You must not intentionally post false or offensive content, including obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, or threatening comments or material, to this community.
