Cesar Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Yesterday I started experiencing issues with intrusive thoughts after moving into my new apartment. It’s really freaking me out. Anyone ever experience these type of thoughts? someone to talk to will be great been dealing with a lot of stress lately don’t know if that may have contributed to this. Quote Cesar m
BluePosion Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Hi Cesar, Yes it's normal in WD to think this way. We are under so much suffering and pain, anger and frustration but also the intrusive thoughts are aliens in our head, it's like having someone else's thoughts in our mind. Don't listen to them. Just let them be there and don't engage or try to fight them, it will only stress you more. Just remember is not you, is the drug talking and you are fine and won´t hurt yourself cuase you're the good one in this story, you are right and will defeat this demon with have. Have you watched The Lord Of the Rings when Gandalf fights the Balrog demon and stands in front of it and shouts "GO BACK TO THE SHADOW, YOU SHALL NOT PASS!"? i like to think i am Gandalf and anxiety or intrusive thoughts are the Balrog, i won't let them will cause i am a warrior, we are warriors and will always beat this demons at any game. There is a YouTube Channel i love; is Jennifer Swan's channel, she is some kind of psycholigist also going through WD hell and she explains so easy and detailed how to cope with symptoms, check this video where she tals about intrusive thoughs and i strongly recommed anyone to listen to her podcasts cause she nails it and helps so much. Dont hesetate talking to us, write anything you think or feel, we are here for you bro. Be strong, you've already gone a long way to your freedom. 1 Quote Diazepam - current dose 1.71mg a day "If You're Going Through Hell, Keep Going" - Winston Churchill
